Classic Beauty

My obsession with beauty started when I was very young. My favorite part of the day was playing dress up in my grandma's silk robes and scarves. I've always known that there is something unstopable about a woman who feels her best.
I've realized over the years that most of my inspirations come from fond memories of my constant quest for beauty as a child.
In my five year old eyes, and still to this day, my Grandma Jean (pictured left) was my definition of a woman with true beauty. She had fancy makeup, perfumes, wigs, countless beauty treatments, gorgeous jewels and everything I imagined I would have as a full fledged woman. Seeing my grandma's vintage dresses hang in the closet envoked daydreams of cocktail parties and a time when big hair and even bigger cat eyes were idoloized.
This is why I have always been a fan of classic style, and why I continue to experiment with trends, but always come back to and feel most comfortable with simplicity. Red or nude lips, black eyeliner and simple yet tasteful clothes.
There's something so sexy and inspiring about a photo of Marilyn Monroe in an oversized cream sweater with perfectly coifed hair, sporting only a cat eye or a red lip.
